Can’t turn on PC

Hi there – can anyone help please? Although the red stand by light is on the mini PC I cannot get the computer which I bought for my sister to switch on. The PC worked for two years but recently she tried to turn it on and it wouldn’t work. On my visit to her I tried but also couldn’t get it to switch on. Is there a resit button?

The unit is the Quantum Byte. RAM 2GB DDR3L with 32 GB of memory.

Thanks

Barrymore

Hello jamesanjum,

Thank you for using the Azulle Forums. First please check the power supply, could you stated that you are using the correct adapter? 12V ~ 1A. Second, have you tried with a different TV or monitor, or at least different cables?

Finally do the follow steps:
1- Disconnect the device from the power supply and unplug all the other cables
2- Turn off the TV
3- Wait 5 min
4- Connected everything again and turn the TV
5- Turn the device once again

Please update us with the results.

Best regards

Hi, I am a newbie with Quantum Byte. I have been tasked to drop our Win10 image onto this device. I go to the boot options, choose my USB drive, hit enter, then it goes through pages of what I assume is Linux and ends up at a Shell prompt. Is what I am trying to do even possible with this device?

Thanks,
Randy

Volume + and – Issues in certain Applications

I am using my Azulle Lynk with my Byte3 attached to a monitor. When using Kodi the volume changes when the volume keys are pressed. However, when using the Windows 10 NETFLIX app or HDHOMERUN app the indicator on the screen indicated that the volume is going up or down but the sound doesn’t change. Does anyone know what I can do to fix that?

Thanks,
David

Installing a m.2 drive or SSD

Hello Support,
Is it possible to install a larger SSD drive or an SATA M.2 drive and reimage the OS to this drive. The unit would then boot off this new drive.

Thanks
Bob

Hello userissue,

Welcome to the Azulle forums.

I have been tasked to drop our Win10 image onto this device

Please make sure that you are using a 32 bits image.

then it goes through pages of what I assume is Linux and ends up at a Shell prompt

That is probably the EUFI Shell. It sounds like the USB doesn’t contain a bootable image and the BIOS move to the next bootable option. Please check that the USB is correctly prepared.

Do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.

Byte Plus: SD card disables ethernet port

I found that my ethernet connection suddenly disappeared on my Byte Plus. Upon further experimentation with multiple network cables and situations, I found that the culprit was inserting a micro SD card. Whenever an SD card is present, the ethernet port stops working altogether (even the indicator lights on the back stop working). If I boot up with a card in the slot, no ethernet. If I boot up without a card, I have wired networking functionality…until I insert an SD card, at which point I lose my ethernet connectivity again.

It appears that an SD card does not prevent WiFi from working, but the ethernet port is entirely disabled. Is this a known problem? Or a hardware or firmware issue with my device? I just got this device two days ago (a used unit, purchased directly from Azulle), so it is possible I have a faulty unit…but I’ve seen a couple of other posts about ethernet problems and SD card problems, so I wonder if there is a firmware (or hardware) issue.

You really need to put the entire step by step instructions along with the download link in one place. Better yet do a YouTube video. I was able to tough it through by searching all through the support forums for various Azuelle products, and my Access Plus is running fast with enough storage space to be usable again.

Hello JeffM46,

Thank you for your feedback. We do have a YT video for the Quantum devices although the process differs a bit the idea is the same:

decompress the restore file and copy the new files onto the USB formatted NTFS and named WINPE for then boot from it in the PC.

We are always looking for ways to improve our support and we will consider your suggestion.

Thank you for choosing Azulle

Byte Plus: missing auto start pins!

We use the Byte Plus @ our resort for TV presentations. Just bought two more (total 6) and I noted one of the recent ones doesn’t have the abliity to do the auto start after power loss as the pins are missing from the jumper location behind the power button.

Is this an over site or has there been a firmware/software upgrade to solve this need?

Purchased thru Amazon so I can do an RMA if needed but I do have it in production at the moment.

Hello carboncow,

Thank you for using the Azulle forums. We are sorry for the inconvenience that you are experiencing. Do not hesitate to reach out directly to us so we can arrange an RMA for that unit. However since you already have it on production, we would like to mention that you can also set the power on power on through a setting on the BIOS. Find it in the BIOS*, under the Chipset tab -> South Bridge -> Select Auto Poweron or manual Poweron.

* In order to get access to the BIOS, start tapping the DEL key as soon as you turn on the device.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

VGA port stopped working

I’ve been using a dual monitor setup with both the HDMI and VGA ports successfully since I bought the Byte3 about 2 months ago and it’s worked perfectly until today. The VGA monitor is no longer recognized by the Byte3. I connected that monitor to a laptop using the same VGA cable and it worked. I used the same VGA cable to connect a different monitor to a laptop and it also worked. So I can confirm the monitor and VGA cable are both fine. Something screwy has happened to the VGA port on the Byte3 and I need some help troubleshooting this further or if this is an obvious warranty case, then I will submit a warranty request.

Thanks

Found a thread on doing a factory restore but the 5 GB file will take 15 days to download because the Azulle FTP site seems to have a rather slow upload speed of 3.4 KB/s…

PC will not turn on.

Hi there,

After not using my PC for a couple of months I tried to power it up today and nothing happens. The power button light generally remains unlit. If I hold down the button then it turns red, but nothing else happens. Help!
