Factory Restoring Your Azulle 3 Device

$

This Post is intended for the Azulle Access 3 and the Azulle Byte 3

If you are looking how to do the factory restore on the Quantum Access or the Quantum Byte, please use this link
If you are looking how to do the factory restore on the Azulle Access Plus or the Azulle Byte Plus, please use this link

The restore process is nearly identical across the 3rd gen of our devices, it requires a freshly erased and formatted USB drive (NTFS) and named WINPE. The only difference is the file used to restore.

Access 3: ftp://ftp.azulletech.com/Recovery/Access3/Access3_Win10_Pro_1803.zip

Byte 3: ftp://ftp.azulletech.com/Recovery/Byte3/Byte3_Win10_1803.zip

Follow these steps:

1 – Download the proper factory restore media file from our FTP, make sure that you use the latest version.
2 – Prepare a USB drive, has to be formatted as NTFS and named WINPE
3 – Decompress the restore file and copy all files inside the new folder to the root of the USB drive.
4 – Insert the USB on one of the ports, and boot from it. In order to do that, start tapping the DEL key as soon as you turn on the device. Once in the BIOS (the blueish screen) move to the last tab Save & Exit and override the boot by selecting your USB.
5 – Wait for the process to finish, reboot the computer and you will be received with the new Windows.

You can watch this video from the Factory restore for the Quantum units(the main difference with them is that they use FAT32, you need to use NTFS) as a visual idea:

Access Plus can't reach NAS

I have the Azulle Access Plus with Windows 10 Pro .
With all of my Windows PCs & Android devices I can access my NAS by typing in //192.168.1.1 in the file explorer address bar. The only device that I can’t access my network drive is the Azulle Access Plus. Would you know why that I can’t?

I get a network error that states “Windows cannot access \\192.168.1.1. error code 0x800405”

Windows Diagnostic can’t do anything to repair nor provides more info.

Byte Plus Will Not Boot

I have a Byte Plus. When you plug it in, the light goes red. When you press the power button, it briefly changes to blue, then back to red. No output whatsoever. If you hold the button, it flashes back and forth for a bit, then goes back to red.

The unit was working just fine a week ago.

Anybody know if this something fixable??

So now I purchased a USB DVD player and made the changes to the BIOS to allow it to boot from the Win 7 installation DVD. However after starting to read the disk it goes through the “Loading Windows”
notice and the progress bar completes it’s run across the screen and the Windows color Logo comes up for about 8 seconds and then the computer locks up . Allowed to set for a while and still no further progress
and AI have to hold in the power button to get the unit to shut down. No keyboard functions at all.
I installed an m2 SSD drive and a single stick of 16 GB memory. Is there a need to use a particular memory slot if only one bank of memory is used?
What have I missed? Drive, memory, and BIOS changes… What else is needed to get this to load?

Please Help! What Laptop brands are good? Any recommended Laptops?

Hello! I know quite a bit about PC’s but not much about laptops and really need your guys’ help! My cousin is buying a new laptop soon, expecting to pay around ~$600 CAD before taxes. He would like a laptop that can turn into a tablet / fold over, and should last a long time. Is this realistic? Do these kinds of laptops last a long time, are they worth it?
Thanks so much for any help

WiFi Drivers?

I just installed Windows 8 and the WiFi adapter isn’t showing up. Under the Device Manager, I do see a “Network Controller” available that Windows says the drivers are not installed for. I’m assuming this is the WiFi adapter.

Where can I find the drivers for this driver? Are they posted online somewhere?

I have several of these units that the LAN has lost connection after period of time. When I reboot they go back online. I have went to Network & Internet/Ethernet/Change adapter options. Right clicked on both Etherne and WiFI chose properties, configure under the power management tab & have unchecked All the computer to turn off this device and save power then click ok. Rebooted and still have the issue.

Hello floppy5.25,

Thank you for using the Azulle Forums. The Inspire supports a 2.5 SSD and/or HDD, now SSD thickness are usually 9.5 mm and 7 mm, those are the one supported by the unit, for both SSD and HDD. We have a Youtube channel with several HOW-TOs, please check the Inspire playlist:

Can't connect to any network with Inspire i5-7200U & Ubuntu 18.04

I’ve been unable to get either the Ethernet or Wi-fi to work with a Ubuntu 18.04 live bootable USB key. It can recognize available wi-fi networks and it will attempt to connect but always gives a “cannot connect” error.

It can recognize when the Ethernet cable is plugged in, but always gives a “cannot connect” error. I know the cable is fine. It’s strange that both wi-fi and ethernet don’t work and give similar errors.

The router is fine, I have other devices connected by both Ethernet and wi-fi.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Hello g.threepwood,

Thank you for using the Azulle forums. We had a customer with a similar experience, he provide us the follow feedback:

“I was finally able to get Ubuntu installed after a friend of mine made the suggestion to turn off virtualization in the bios settings. Once I did that, Ubuntu installed with zero issues.”

In order to do that, please access to the BIOS and disable the follow setting: BiOs -> Advance -> CPU Configuration -> Intel (VMX) Virtualization Technology. Don’t forget to save that configuration by going to the last tab: “Save & Exit” and select the “Save and Reset” option.

Let us know if that works.

Best regards.
