Hello dmteerlink,

4 GB of RAM is more than enough for most of the daily common tasks, it doesn’t cause any drop in the performance.

However if you are looking for more RAM, you can always select the 8 GB of RAM option, available in our website and Amazon.

Best regards.

No sound, and clock doesn't work right after refreshing Quantum Byte

I followed instructions on this site to download a zip file containing a factory image of Windows 10, formatted a USB stick, and copied the image to it.

I was able to boot from the stick and the installation looked to go smoothly.

After some time, the regular Windows screens appeared and I was able to connect to my access point and get onto the Web.

But the speakers don’t work, and the clock works only partly. The system time does not keep pace with actual clock time, and runs slow.

I checked that the Realtek audio device driver was installed. I removed the driver and got the newest version from their website. This made no difference.

I don’t get any sound and I’m unable to enable a device using Control Panel; the place where you do this (sorry, I’m not at the computer right now) says an audio device is not installed, but I do see it in Device Manager. The speaker icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen is X’d out in red.

Regarding the clock, I made sure to have Windows automatically obtain the time periodically from the Web; I changed the default source to NIST. The clock gets set right when I force it, but slowly loses time and does not automatically sync again.

I’ve read most of the posts on here and have tried installing various drivers.

Boot to USB

I have a bootable USB drive that we use in our shop and I cannot seem to get the Access 3 to boot to that device. Am I missing a configuration within the BIOS to allow it to see the USB drive? I am using F7 to get to the boot menu and I do not have an option to select USB. I have tried both USB slots on the Access 3.

Thanks for your help.

Hello tmoats,

Welcome to the Azulle Forums. Could you confirm that you are trying to boot a UEFI/GPT compatible OS? Please be aware that the Access3 doesn’t support legacy BIOS.

Do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.

Best regards.

Installing Windows 7 from USB DVD

My Inspire has M2 drive, 16 GB RAM and attached DVD drive that uses two rear USB ports. It lights up upon boot but and spins up with lights on but does not read the disk to run the start Install procedures.
Is this feature available for Win 7 or only Win8 and Win 10?
Also is the serial port activated in the “BIOS” by default? I don’t see as settings that allow turning on the COM port or setting it’s com number.
All I want to do is turn on COM 1 with the usual paramaters.

Thanks

My 1st plug in of a new access 3 seems to be DOA. I’ve tried multiple outlets, tvs, and monitors. each time it has the steady red light and won’t boot when the power button is pushed.

Hello David,

Welcome to the Azulle forums. Let me assist you with your concerns.

If you are planing to use Ubuntu, we have tested the 18.04 (current LTS version) and it works perfectly with the Access3, the UbuntuPlus.iso is more for the Plus devices. Now, in order to boot from a Linux distro media installer, you need to change the follow setting on the BIOS:

BIOS-> Chipset-> Common Function-> OS Selection-> Intel Linux

Do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions.

Hello William,

Welcome to the Azulle forums. You should be able to install any UEFI/GPT compatible OS. Make sure that use a UEFI 64 bits version of Windows 7.

Also the RS232 port comes activated by default, you don’t have to change the BIOS to use it.

Do not hesitate to contact us directly if you need further assistance.

Regarding to the time issue:

Hello oconelbill118,

Please try the follow to see if you can get a video output from the unit:

Unplug everything, wait 10 secs, turn the TV on, connect all the cables, pick the proper HDMI and then turn the device on.
Try the device with a different TV or monitor to make sure if the behavior is the same.

Let us know if with that the unit works.

Best regards
