ACCES3 Upgrading to win10 1903

This Azulle Access3 stick works great except for one thing, it is stuck asking me to upgrade to Win10 1903 which I would like to do but Windows does not find enough space on the internal drive C to install. I have an SSD card working ok and I have deleted about all I could, no more user files or close to 0 and I am still missing a bit more than 1G on C.

How do we upgrade these costly little stick to 1903 ? Do we have to install a new image ? If yes how ?

I “second” this post! In my case, MS Office 365 is probably the biggest hog on c: space…

Looking forward to Azulle feedback on this…

I even uninstalled MS Office. First time when I was trying to update to 1903 – it said it requires at least 8 GB. So tried even to do a disk cleanup. Then it showed the 8 GB was available and it continued with the update. Then at the end of it all – it reported ‘failed to update’. Now I try again, it shows only 4 GB space available.
I do a diskcleanup but there is nothing there that can be freed. As always I am sure this is the stupid Microsoft that has never perfected software updates even after decades in business. There is an extra 32GB of SD card in the stick – so why the heck, Microsoft can’t use it perform the update. Moreover, this is a tiny little stick struggling with this major update.
The final option now left with me is (Since I can’t use the PC without any MS Office) – I decided to reset the PC. At around 60% or so in the process, it reports failed to restore. At this point, I am totally going crazy.

Now the only option is for me to get it back to its original state – to gain the space. I need some advice as to how to go about doing this on my Azzule Access Plus (this is my actual model: Azulle A-1063-AAP-1 Access Plus, Fan less Mini PC Stick, Cherry Trail T3 Z8300, 4GB RAM+32GB storage)

I wrote an email to Azulle support – hope they will respond.

thanks

I keep getting messages about not having enough memory for Window’s updates. Just Win10 has taken up 27gb of the hard drive. I’ve uninstalled everything else. I’ve tried putting in a USB drive but Window’s doesn’t want to use it for it’s updates.

Hello,

We do have a factory restore image that will update the units to 1903.

1 – Download our factory restore media file from our FTP:

ftp://ftp.azulletech.com/Recovery/1903/Win10Pro1903Restore.zip

2 – Prepare a USB drive, has to be formatted as NTFS and named WINPE
3 – Decompress the restore file and copy all files inside the new folder to the root of the USB drive.
4 – Insert the USB on one of the ports, and boot from it. In order to do that start tapping the DEL key as soon as you turn on the device. Once in the BIOS (the blueish screen) move to the last tab Save & Exit and override the boot selecting your USB.
5 – Wait that the process finish, reboot the computer and you will be received with the new Windows

You can watch this video from the Factory restore for the Quantum units as a visual idea:
https://youtu.be/LJXGXiBpsVs — Note the video says FAT32, however for this image we must use NTFS.

Also please be aware that this process will wipe out your hard drive, make sure that you have your system backed up if you want to keep your files.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concern.

At this time it is not recommended to update the Access Plus to Windows 10 1903, as the update will break some drivers. Until Intel has updated these drivers it is recommended to stay on 1809. I would suggest using a tool such as: https://greatis.com/stopupdates10/ to control update installations.

I am requesting follow-up

From the Amazon Q&A
“Q: Do the azulle inspire 7100u -7500u models support firmware tpm/intel ptt (platform trust technology) for windows 10 bitlocker?
A: Yes, the Inspire line support PTT and dTPM (Configurable in BIOS).
By Azulle on October 14, 2019”

I would like to the know the steps to get this enabled. I was told by Tech support to expect a response with 1-2 weeks, and it is now a month.

Hello Blkincr,

I do appreciate your patience on the matter, we are still waiting on a response from Intel on the matter.
I understand that your ultimate goal is to be able to store your keys on a physical chip. PTT and dTPM are both available and can be used within Windows 10 for Bitlocker, however dTPM is not what you are looking for in this case (it does not provide the ability to store keys on a chip). I am still waiting on a response from Intel so that I can relay their instructions on how to best use their technology.

Thanks,

~Vic

With the obsessive Windows updates that the hard drive cannot handle. Great job, guys! I have tried everything, migrating the drive. All the solutions from Microsoft. Nothing! Everyday I get the same problem. Biggest purchase regret in years. You sold an obsolete device out of the box.

I don’t understand how there isn’t a class action over this. Maybe I will start one. Even your forum format is fucking terrible. lol.

Using Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 to create an image Windows LTSB

$

Has anyone successfully created an image with what is mentioned above? I backed up the entire drive and when I “recovered” it to the same machine, it rendered it unusable.

So, I used the ftp://ftp.azulletech.com/Recovery/Access3/Access3_1607_Windows_10_IOT_Enterprise_2016_LTSB.zip, copied it over to my Flash Drive and tried to boot it up that way and it came up, but all I saw was a dos window that said (roughly) that it could not find a network.

I have another Access3 in the shape that I want it, but the image I took from that says that it is too big for the target drive, which is a bit of a larf, as I used THAT machine to MAKE the image.

This unit has run successfully, but imaging has proven to be infuriating. I’m certain I’m missing something fundamental, but I am not sure what that is.

Help!

Weird update…the earlier build of Acronis helped me build a viable image.

Thanks! I used a WD drive and an add-on heat sink, so both strikes on the thermal issue.
If I do invest in the nvme drive again, I will follow your advice.
Best regards!

Experience with usb DVD R/W drive?

$

I have tried 2 different USB DVD R/W drives and both are seen by the OS, but do not appear to have write capability.
So, here is what I have tried:
a) connect usb DVD R/W drive – if all I want to do is read (music, movie, files), it works fine
b) insert writeable media
c) attempt to write files- using CDburnerXP, Foobar2000 or even trying Windows Explorer — nothing “sees” the drive as writeable.

I have tried “update drivers” but all I get is “the best drivers already installed”

Anyone else have this issue? Any advice?

THANKS!
