VRam setting

Hello,

I recently purchased an inspire, the one based on the j4205, and I really like it.
The only setting I can’t seem to find is the one for adjusting the amount of ram used by the integrated video.
Can it be adjusting away from the default of 128mb and if so where do I do that?

Thanks in advance

Access 3 Keeps Crashing

My Access 3 keeps crashing probably around every 30-40 minutes, it gets worse if im trying to change settings/install drivers, I have 2 other access 3’s I have deployed in the past for signage and they’re working great but the new one is not having it, I updated it to win 10 1909, and I have installed as many drivers from the driver package that it would let me, any advice?

Do you have a restore file for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for the Access3?

Hello,

This feature can be found within the BIOS (Tap Del key during POST to enter BIOS), navigate to Chipset -> System Agent Configuration -> Graphics Configuration -> DVMT Total Gfx Mem -> The default value should be 256MB.

There is also a registry change that can be made to change the amount of vRAM reported:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intel\GMM

Create a REG_DWORD value named “DedicatedSegmentSize”. The value is interpreted as number of MB to report (0-512MB). A value of 0 disables reporting the dummy memory segment. If the registry key/value is not found, the driver will report the default 128MB.

If the device continues to fail even after a fresh OS install, I would suggest you initiate the RMA process so we can take a look at it in-house.

To begin the process just head over to our RMA portal at https://AzulleTech.com/RMA/ and register/submit a ticket. Once received the RMA team will confirm it’s Warranty status, and respond with further instructions.

Bluetooth and Mobile Hotspot not working

My Bluetooth and Mobile Hotspot functionality worked great for a long time,
but ever since the recent Windows Updates, they’ve stopped working.
Why doesn’t Microsoft test their updates on a Byte3 ?

Hello,

Unfortunately this happens from time to time, there are so many different hardware configurations/components to consider, this will sometimes happen. You can try using the System Restore function to revert to a time when it was working to see if it’s corrected, and postpone the updates until Microsoft has corrected the issue. (Installing a fresh Windows 10 copy from Microsofts Media Creation tool may also work, this will install the very lastest and provide a clean environment, all drivers can be downloaded from the Windows Update driver store).

No Wi-Fi or Ethenet Connections?!

After finishing the windows setup, and getting the unit set up to my liking, I restarted it. When it came back on, it did not appear to have the capability to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi, or Ethernet anymore.

The network status showed not connected, with no Wi-Fi or Ethernet tab on the left side of the Network & Internet settings page.

The device manager does not show an Ethernet or wi-fi adapter.

I reinstalled a copy of windows, saving my files. That didn’t work, so I reinstalled a fresh copy of windows, and that still did not work. I’m ready to start the return process with Amazon.

I know the Wi-Fi/Ethernet were both working initially because I downloaded Chrome and VLC.

So, I left this unit powered off until I got home from work today. I powered it up as I called tech support, and lo and behold the MF’r connects to the internet as I’m explaining my case to the technician. The wi-fi and ethernet worked. Unreal.

I go back about setting this unit up. I installed Chrome and VLC….again, then turned the unit off.

I powered the unit up a few minutes ago, and wouldn’t you know it, no GD ethernet or wi-fi adapter!!!! Of course it was 5:11 PM EST at this point so tech support was closed.

Hello Ryan,

This is certainly not typical behavior for our devices. If you have continued to have troubles with the unit please consider using the Warranty. To begin the process just head over to our RMA portal at https://AzulleTech.com/RMA/ and register/submit a ticket. Once received the RMA team will confirm it’s Warranty status, and respond with further instructions. It seems you’ve already gone above and beyond, we will be happy to service the unit.

Hi,

I changed settings in the bios and now I can’t get the azulle access pc stick to boot up. How do you hard reset the bios?

Hello,

You will need to use a plastic pry-tool at the HDMI port, where the plastic seam meets the port. Once off you may remove the 4 screws and access the CMOS battery, just unplug this battery for 60 seconds (without the power cable connected), and the BIOS settings should reset.

Quantum Byte : BUffering to the point it’s not useable.

Bought a Quantum yte to use as a TV SetTop device. When streaming major services it is so slow that it’s really not useful. When I sway in one of our laptops the issues go away. Any way to fix this ?

Hello,

When setting the unit up, please keep it’s limitations in mind. When connected to a TV it may be possible to set it up to 4k resolution, however video playback at this resolution will not be optimal on the Quantum Byte. For 4k I would recommend the Byte3, Access3, or Inspire series. To improve performance you can reduce the resolution on the desktop/media player. The Quantum Byte should be able to handle 1080p@30fps and below.

Hello Tan,

The only pre-configured account you should find on our devices, would be the Zoom account on the Zoom configured units. The default password to this account is zoom123. It seems you may have gotten a unit that was used for testing, however even so the unit should have been received without an account. In your case the best solution may be to use the Recovery Menu to reset the operating system (F9 during POST to enter the Recovery Menu).

Thanks,

Your response is wrong.
The Byte can do 1080 at best and apparently cannot handle even that
